Nah, a wire hook or loop of string is perfectly fine, especially for ones that are either glass or are heavy with lots of sharp corners.

Looks like it’s got straps that go in via the doors and around the roof as a whole like a cheap kayak ‘rack’ - the ‘suction cups’ might just be more of feet so the frame doesn’t trash the paint.
